LV Volleyball Reorganises Competitions in 2018

Following a review in 2017 the association began a new amalgamated Latrobe Valley volleyball community competition on Feb 21st 2018 at our home of volleyball, Churchill Lesuire Center. Women's Div 6.30-7.25pm , Mixed social and Open leagues at 7.30-8.25pm & 8.30-9.25. People interested to play but who may not have a team can contact us and we can hook you up. Double Country Championships Success!

June 13th 2014 was a historic day for LV teams at CC'16 held at Latrobe Leisure Newborough; both men's & women's Div 1 teams won gold medals, women's Div 2 also took gold over the Morwell team who settled for the silver medal. The men's Div 2 team came a close 5th. The header photo shows the medal winning LV teams other photos are in the gallery.

50th Anniversary Celebration

Heads up; our 50th birthday.   On 22nd of October 2016 we will celebrate LVVI's 50th Anniversary by having a dinner at Premier Function Centre, Traralgon & will have tables for each of the clubs/teams over the years as well as focus on the achievements of our current players, coaches & referees. We even have a band through Ray Woolley for lots of dancing, save the date 22nd Oct & more details tbc soon

Following the final selection trial held at the National Junior Training Camp hosted by LVVI at Churchill our own Monica Harasimiuk has been selected to play for Australia. Monica will attend further training and compete in the Asian Championships and in America.

LVVI has entered a women's team in the Premier division for the first time; with a large group of developing players there was little chance for them to advance to the next level via the arrangement with Eastside Hawks. Latrobe Valley athletes featured in both of Victoria’s gold medals at the Australian Junior Beach Volleyball titles held in Glenelg, South Australia recently.

A record 10 Latrobe Valley junior men and women qualified to represent Victoria for teams across all age groups.
